Brokaw: Benghazi? We Really Needed Investigation of Iraq Invasion and Non-existent WMD
NewsBusters ^ | Mark Finkelstein

Posted on 10/23/2015 7:09:36 AM PDT by governsleastgovernsbest

Say, Tom, maybe you could lead a movement to retroactively impeach George W. Bush . . . On today's Morning Joe, Tom Brokaw, downplayed the significance of Benghazi, suggesting instead that what we really needed was "a big congressional investigation about the decision to go to war in the first place in Iraq for weapons of mass destruction that didn't exist."

Brokaw also underlined that more lives were lost in terrorist attacks on the US Marine barracks in Lebanon, the USS Cole and Khobar Towers than in Benghazi. Brokaw made a point to mention that the attack on the Marine barracks happened during Ronald Reagan's presidency, but failed to disclose that the USS Cole and Khobar Towers attacks happened during the presidency of Hillary Clinton's husband. Simple slip by Brokaw, no doubt.

You mean, like the non existent A.Q. Khan pan- Islamic nuclear proliferation network of Muslim States working together on an Islamic version of the Manhattan Project with a goal of proliferating nuclear weapons to muslim countries to aid in their Jihad

It was a big deal for Gaddafi, that's for sure.

To quote FReeper South Texas from 2007(?):

“Saddam was supposed to supply proof of disposal as a condition of leaving him in power. He didn’t, game over.”

Yes, as echoed in that thread, “with extreme prejudce”!

Have you seen a doc?

“Pentagon looking for soldiers exposed to chemicals in Iraq”

The Department of Defense is contacting service members and veterans who may have been exposed to chemicals — warfare agents such as mustard agents or sarin — during Operation Iraqi Freedom.

And the 500 tons of Yellowcake, a precursor for Plutonium, was never shipped to Canada via Diego Garcia and thousands of Kurds never died in the gas bombing of Halabja. (/S)

I believe chemical weapons are considered WMD’s. When I was in Iraq 2008-2009 there were 155 artillery shells found that were armed with nerve agents. So the whole “no WMD” argument is BS.

and how maany tons of yellow cake?

Brokaw is a very sick man to be a reporter and not understand two points. WMDs gas projectiles were found and once had been used on his own people. Second dozens of Russian trucks convoys moved something across the border to Syria.

“For weapons that did not exist, they were pretty lethal when Assad used them. “

Are those the same non-existent weapons that Clinton voted to have removed?

Apparently he thinks he’s some beloved sage. Paul Harvey he’s not.

Man, now I'm going to be thinking of Paul Harvey for the rest of the day "And now for the rest of the story", something we all waited eagerly to hear. Makes me miss old George Putnam too.

The Iraq WMD, the fraud that cracked the USA. The Iran WMD the fraud that finished the USA.
