Republican presidential candidate Ben Carson, in defending against criticisms of his relaxed demeanor on the campaign trail, opened up about his past "volatile" behavior during an interview that aired Sunday.
"I have plenty of energy. But, you know, I am soft-spoken. I do have a tendency to be relaxed. I wasn't always like that. There was a time when I was, you know, very volatile," Carson told NBC News. "But, you know, I changed."
The retired neurosurgeon went on to explain that "as a teenager, I would go after people with rocks, and bricks, and baseball bats, and hammers." He also spoke about the time, at 14 years old, when he "tried to stab someone" -- a well-known story of Carson attacking a friend during an argument over preferred radio stations. He missed: the knife hit the teenager's belt buckle and snapped.

Not Baltimore. He grew up in inner city Detroit. Attended U of M for his MD.
There is more. He is not going to come after our guns.
I have a few doubts BTW, but God help us. He is far far better than McCain or Romney and entire light years better than Hillary.
If Iowa likes him this much I can do it.
Or even Trump if I must....just please let Obama go far far away asap.
Maybe he can skip the WH and go straight to work at Habitat for Humanity? For a brain surgeon.. ehhhhhhh.
OTOH, if he didn’t talk about it first, the media would trumpet it as if he were trying to hide his past. And he is not. However, he is not my choice for president. I would make him HHS secretary or Surgeon General.
Personally, I have a problem with a neurosurgeon who would perform three surgeries on a patient without having ever looked at her MRI! I find myself wondering if there is a reason why this neurosurgeon retired so young.
He’s apparently discussed it in his book, but I suspect not all that many have read it. From what I’ve seen he’s a decent, well-intentioned man but like you I’m not all that certain that he’s the one for the Presidency. Certainly there’s a place for him in a conservative administration, though. HHS Secretary or Surgeon General, as you say.
He said what he said.
He’s also pro-amnesty, and not someone who I am interested in voting for.
99.999%.
I find it more inspirational when you don’t try to kill your friends, but perhaps that’s just me.
Yikes.
Correct me if I’m wrong here but were you not one of the people browbeating actual conservatives about how they just HAD to vote for a guy that profits from BBQing aborted children, legislated on behalf of and gave 5 figures of his own money to, Planned Parenthood?
Because that makes someones conservatism more than just suspect. It makes them a fraud. Pushing a guy that wants to strip citizens of their guns in places they need it most also makes ones conservatism more than suspect. As does pushing for a guy that wants amnesty for illegals.
The America you are talking about is already gone exactly because people abandoned their beliefs and voted to elect evil as a compromise to what they ‘felt’ was ‘greater evil’.
But evil is evil. And obviously some people are just fine with making the same mistake yet again. The thing is, after making it so many times and defending it so strongly, I have to doubt it’s because people are just too stupid to learn. If people keep making excuses why they just HAVE to elect evil, they most likely want it and are just trying to self justify it.
Dammit Jim, I'm a doctor, not a President!
Hundreds of thousands of the movie made (from the book) were sold.
They told him there was too much about God in the movie and he said if they took any of that out, they had to take him out too.
I think all six of his books were best sellers and I know that his book One Nation was number one on the NYT bestseller list for awhile.
Herman Cain???
Herman like most of those that get knocked out of the process are their own worst enemies. Its really difficult to effectively hide stupid shit from one’s past in this crucible.
. . as “horrible” as Hussein Obama? . . Nooooooope!
So, whomsoever the Republicans put up there on the ticket,
I will crawl over broken glass to get to the polls to
vote for them.
I was pointing out how you are a fake who is acting in any and all cases to spread a spirit of fear and to get as many leftist Democrats as possible elected Norm.
You are still doing that to this day, Norm, and are still an agent of the left.
so many times I will be reading a thread with great posts and then a very out of place post comes up that is negative, stupid and counterproductive and when I look at the name of the poster it is inevitably you.
Take your satanic spirit elsewhere.
