“An Editor that swore by the infallibility of the Associated Press”
AP does nothing but lie, just like Obama and Hillary
....and Boner and McConman, and Flake, and McCain,
and...and...as nauseum, ad infinitum.
I used to make a game of pulling two completely contradictory stories off the wire and asking him to decide which should go on the page.
Never once did he get on the phone and ask AP to clarify. Not that I expected him to or that they would. Occasionally his solution was, instead of doing his job, running both contradictory articles, one buried on D30 and you can guess which that was.
Same guy I told you about before that swore the ‘Gold Standard” AP did not and never would allow opinion in their reporting that vaporlocked the day they released the memo officially OKing the practice.
Hasn’t been the case since the day the first paper took it’s first ad dollar.
I suppose you could have had some fun with these morons, but after a while, it would get unbearable.
And thus my entry into the Ex-Journo Paratrooper division. AKA parachuting the hell out.
The oldschool reporter is all but extinct. The new J school grad is a social justice warrior and worse. There is no truth to be found in traditional media. Just agendas, profit and mental issues.
” The new J school grad is a social justice warrior and worse”
I think it was Pat Buchanan who once said that they (graduate schools of journalism) were all Merxist hell holes.
his line that the Democrats debate being a fight between the Bolsheviks and Mensheviks.
Maybe a half dozen voters had a clue what he was talking about. Great comment but only to the knowledgeable. Common people get frustrated by those kind of statements, sad but true.
Makes you wonder why the GOP allows this.
They are. To the core. J school professorship is where failed teachers in midget ethnic transexual studies go when Peter enacts his Principle.the results are self evident.
“All true except Marco is a young man in a hurry.”
True, and for that reason alone, he’s not at the top of my list (tho if he got the nomination I would vote for him).
The issue HERE is, did these people ask the same thing of Obama? At least Rubio has a leadership position in the FL legislature; Obama was a “not present” back bencher in the IL legislature. Each had exactly comparable US Senate experience before jumping into the presidential race. Didn’t like that with Obama, and don’t like it with Rubio. But these ‘moderators’ were just fine when it was Obama.
Norm, there is today the same problem with almost all universities. Once the tenured radicals got in, they froze out what little conservatism was left. The the leftists became college administrators, and refused to hire ANY CONSERVATIVE PROFESSORS.
If I had a kid of college age today, I would strongly discourage them from going to college. the lone exception would be if he or she was a brilliant student. Even then I would not help financially unless we agreed on a few select colleges.
Oh for sure. The think that IMO makes J shhool so egregious is that while a lib in, say, business school only wrecks an economy, a lib prof in J School is there specifically to destroy the very idea of America/faith/right/wrong in the eyes of everyone.
Very true my friend, but still a brilliant line by Cruz. We here at FR can’t help it if we happen to have a grasp of politics and history than most Americans.
Perhaps he's a co-conspirator?
