From the 'debate'...
"This is not a cage match," the Texas Republican said. "And you look at the questions " 'Donald Trump, are you a comic-book villain?' 'Ben Carson, can you do math?' 'John Kasich, will you insult two people over here?' 'Marco Rubio, why don't you resign?' 'Jeb Bush, why have your numbers fallen?' How about talking about the substantive issues people care about?"

Cruz's media criticism drew loud applause at the University of Colorado Boulder, where the GOP field gathered for the CNBC-hosted event. It was an especially spirited moment compared to his first two debates, during which Cruz hit his talking points but stopped short of delivering breakout performances.

From Frank Luntz focus group...
During a live post-debate "Kelly File," Frank Luntz talked to a focus group of Republican voters about their reaction to the third GOP debate. The participants had an overwhelmingly positive response to Ted Cruz's criticism of the CNBC debate moderators and their "biased" line of questioning.

"The questions that have been asked so far in this debate illustrate why the American people don't trust the media," Cruz said to applause. "How about talking about the substantive issues?"

On a scale of 0 to 100, both conservative and moderate participants hit as high as a 98 favorable rating to Cruz's statement.

Luntz revealed "that in more than 15 years of focus groups, no line had ever been received so favorably... the highest score we've ever measured. EVER'"

Huckabee just about had the best line of the night

. " I've spent my whole career fighting the Clinton machine. Not only fighting them, but winning. Not only winning, but I'm alive to tell about it! "

Rush, who makes knowing what’s going on in American politics his vocation, obviously finds Ted Cruz to be very impressive. It’s hard to get a better recommendation than that. The GOP would be foolish to ignore this. And, it very likely will.

Sen. Cruz: The Real Story of What Is Happening in Washington (Sep 28, 2015 – 59:47)
……… AKA... “Mr Cruz Goes To Washington”

Ted Cruz couldn’t get anyone in the Senate to back him tonight as he tried to get a ban on Planned Parenthood funding and a linkage of the Iran Nuclear deal in a government funding bill. He stood alone on the Senate floor:
Cruz’s amendment would place a one-year ban on federal funding for Planned Parenthood. It would also ban the Obama administration from using funds from the short-term bill to implement the Iran nuclear deal or any “assessed contributions” to the United Nations until lawmakers receive the “side deals” between Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

The “side deals” have been a key point of contention among opponents of the deal. Cruz and House Republicans have suggested that the 60-day congressional review period for the Iran nuclear deal hasn’t started because the administration hasn’t given lawmakers the agreements.

After the procedural back-and-forth, Cruz slammed Republican leadership, suggesting they repeatedly “surrender” to President Obama.

“You know, President Obama has negotiated a catastrophic nuclear deal with Iran. Republican leadership goes on television all the time and rightly says this is a catastrophic deal,” he added. “I would suggest that if we actually believed the words that are coming out of their mouths, then we should be willing to use any and all constitutional authorities.”

After this Cruz launched into an hour speech, one that Mark Levin just tweeted out saying it’s a MUST LISTEN.

Brit Hume should just retire already.
Yes, and he can take his girl friend with him.

“His son being gay made him sympathetic.”

That should have absolutely zero to do with a
person standing up for the truth. Too many
parents have marched in “gay pride parades” in
order to “support” their kids. - You love
somebody; but that doesn’t mean you hook, line,
and sinker fall for a load of bull. - Momma used
to say that they just get into a nasty habit &
don’t want to break it. (There ARE many other
sins; and no one is without sin.)

But, he’s no Trump, you know, doesn’t have nearly enough mouth. And that’s what this country needs, someone with a big mouth that can spin yarns and weave dreams and is not afraid to speak up. And, you know, Trump had his own TV show and is a successful businessman so he must be the best one cause....Trump.

LOL

I do appreciate some of what Trump brings to the table. I love his willingness to fight and not back down. Also, he's taught the candidates that everything is negotiable including length of time for debates. Lets hope the candidates ban together and restructure the debates from here on out. My biggest concern with Trump is his overnight conversion to conservatism.

One of the great qualities of Cruz is he is the same man he was before he went to DC. He is a conservative today and will be a conservative tomorrow.

Spot on!

The GOPe instead of embracing the TEA Party have been fighting it almost from the beginning. It was the outrage with out of control govt trying to rule us that brought them to majorities in both Houses and they still want to fight their base.

For me the final straw was them exempting themselves and their staffs from obamacare, but imposing it on me and mine. I used to be willing to hold my nose and vote for the moderate, but no longer. If it's not a conservative I won't vote.

I’ll add him to my list. He has a big target on his back and has to learn how to use the gear (armor) of God ASAP.

Matthew 10

“Whoever acknowledges me before men, I will also acknowledge him before my Father in heaven.
33 But whoever disowns me before men, I will disown him before my Father in heaven.
34 “Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword.
35 For I have come to turn “ ‘a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law—
36 a man’s enemies will be the members of his own household.’

37 “Anyone who loves his father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; anyone who loves his son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me;

38 and anyone who does not take his cross and follow me is not worthy of me.
39 Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.
40 “He who receives you receives me, and he who receives me receives the one who sent me.
41 Anyone who receives a prophet because he is a prophet will receive a prophet’s reward, and anyone who receives a righteous man because he is a righteous man will receive a righteous man’s reward.
42 And if anyone gives even a cup of cold water to one of these little ones because he is my disciple, I tell you the truth, he will certainly not lose his reward.”

He’s a great time, I donated 4 times to him.

Must admit he is obsessive about asking me for more money 10 times a week through the mail and email.

He’s way too much in that department.
