Fulfilling a longtime wish-list item of criminal justice reformers, Hillary Clinton on Friday will call for ending the sentencing disparity between powder and crack cocaine as part of a larger criminal justice reform plan aimed in part at winning support in the African-American community.
At an event with African-American leaders in Atlanta, Clinton is expected to say that the current system, which doles out far longer prison sentences for crack cocaine than for an equal amount of powder cocaine, is racially discriminatory since African-Americans are more likely to use crack.

I had to check to make sure this thread wasn’t satire. What an upside down world the libs live in.

The Rapist in Chief might have to go to jail? This is only for those that are not connected. Dirtbags and Scum wil always be free.

They really should get the African-Americans off of crack and onto the powder. Then they wouldn’t have to worry about it.

I don't disagree. The effects of a permanently doped-up society are not what this country needs. Proponents of marijuana will claim it's no different than alcohol, but I don't agree with that. I don't think there's a "safe zone" in terms of physical and mental impairment. With alcohol, I know my limit, and I can stay within it.
I would like to clarify my position...while I'm inclined to lean toward a libertarian view of some things, the legalization of drugs is not something I would strongly advocate. It's certainly not a priority.

Just more of the movement to empower black criminals. The ultimate goal is to give them a “Get Out of Jail Free” card for every thing.

Fine. Make the sentences for powder cocaine the same as for crack.

Clinton is expected to say that the current system, which doles out far longer prison sentences for crack cocaine than for an equal amount of powder cocaine, is racially discriminatory since African-Americans are more likely to use crack. A distinction without a difference as powder cocaine is used to make crack cocaine. Changing the law amounts to pure pandering as crack will continue to be produced in ghetto kitchens stoves.
