I concur, the US has not been invited into Syria by the sovereign authority. This could be considered an invasion force, Syria AND their invited ally Russia can defend against it. Additionally, I would like to know what US law permits this action by the POTUS?

Obama hasn’t got a clue and has no interest in listening to those who do have a clue. I imagine Valerie is advising him.

Don’t forget China. I believe they have been asked by the Syrian gov’t for help, as well.

It’s well past time for the military to tell Ozero to go away and just let them handle this. Given the choice, I’m sure most of the Pentagon brass would prefer to join with Putin to just end this thing. I wish they’d just do that and tell the White House to suck an egg.

You missed about a half hour earlier Russia’s top dog said that any military action in Syria must be approved by Assad.

Twenty to thirty ground troops? Why?

Maybe Obama should practice with video game first.

The US may very well HAVE been invited into Syria. This regime’s duplicity knows no bounds.

Russia just warned Obama that sending troops into Syria without Syria’s permission is a bad idea

And I agree with him.

We never heard about Assad being a bad guy BEFORE Obama decided he wanted to replace him with the moslem brotherhood in the “Arab Spring”

You all might want to read this article from Weekly Standard.

http://m.weeklystandard.com/articles/iran-unleashed_1055597.html

Last week, the Obama White House moved to ensure Hezbollah’s ability to point 100,000 missiles at Israel. That’s not how they would describe it, of course. But it was the Obama administration—as U.S. officials are quietly letting on—and not Russia that invited Iran to participate in talks in Vienna to resolve the Syrian civil war. By doing so, the White House legitimized the Islamic Republic as a “stakeholder” whose interests in Syria must be respected. But of course, Iran has only one interest in Syria, which is to protect its ally, Syrian president Bashar al-Assad, whose regime facilitates the transfer of missiles to Hezbollah.

I just read that Kerry and Obama are prepared to accept an Assad regime. http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2015-10-30/obama-kerry-throw-towel-us-prepared-accept-assad-regime-syria

There’s enough disinformation out there to sink our Ministry of Propaganda, the media.

The White House is a hopeless disaster at this point. It’s like watching a train wreck in real time.

Count my vote against this. No matter what you do to or for a muslim, at the end of the day, you are still the infidel or the Jew, and the muslim will still hate you.

I think back in the Viet Nam-era, LBJ called this "Escalation."

But somehow, Republicans got the blame for that war.

Just a low number of Green Beret advisors into some small country on the other side of the world, what could go wrong?

Republicans got the blame because even then the media was the opposition.
