Back in the nineties commercial contracts in Russia did not mean squat. Things must have changed.

Two recent international contracts involving Russia come to mind...first the deal with France to build the two Mistral transport ships that France tried to renege on, and now the three billion dollar loan to Ukraine which the Kiev regime is trying to 'reclassify' with assistance from the IMF.

Both contracts are so well written that the offending parties tied themselves in knots looking for ways to breech them.
