People forget. I'm trying to remind them.

What was the original reason for the rise of the TEA Party movement?
TARP, which Trump favors.

Trump's Record on Free-market Issue: (from the Conservative Review)

Trump has a terrible record on free market issues. The only bright spot is the Federal Reserve's quantitative easing, but this glimmer is countermanded by his repeated support for bailing out Wall Street and the auto industry, and increased stimulus spending. Of particular concern is Trump's belief that the government can use eminent domain powers to seize private property in the name of private economic development. This comes as no surprise, given his support for using eminent domain to profit his own company.

Trump supported the Supreme Court's 2005 decision in Kelo v. City of London, allowing public authorities to seize private land for economic development by private investors; Trump said, “I happen to agree with [the decision] 100 percent.” (National Review)  This is no surprise given Trump's attempt to use eminent domain in his own line of work. (Institute for Justice)

Trump supported President Obama’s 2009 stimulus, saying: “The word stimulus is probably not used in its fullest…you know, certain of the things that were given weren't really stimulus. They were pork, as we call it, or they were gifts to certain people. But overall, I think he's [President Obama] doing very well. You do need stimulus and you do have to keep the banks alive.” (CNN

Trump supported TARP, saying, "You had to do something to shore up the banks, because ... you would have had a run on every bank." (CNN

Trump supported the 2008 auto bailout, saying, “I think the government should stand behind them 100 percent. You cannot lose the auto companies. They're great. They make wonderful products.” He also said that the federal government could “easily save the companies.” (Daily Caller

Trump criticized the Federal Reserve’s intervention in the debt market, saying quantitative easing creates “phony numbers” that mislead the marketplace and “will not ultimately benefit the economy. The dollar will go down in value and inflation will start rearing its ugly head.” (CNBC

Donald Trump has a history of using eminent domain to complete business deals. Multiple times Trump has supported the use of government agencies to take possession of homes and businesses for use in his private business plans. Eminent domain seizures are reserved only for public use of property rather than abuse by the government taking property from one individual and giving to another. (Washington Post

Donald Trump has sought and received crony capitalist tax breaks for his commercial properties in New York. These tax breaks, and even an abatement, force the property taxes of other property owners to rise at the expense of the connected. Special treatment for one business or industry over another with the tax code conflicts with free market principles. (National Review

In 2009, Trump supported Barack Obama's call for limits on the pay of executives. (CNN)

"Likely" is not a objective measure. Only God knows what is likely. Whatever does not happen was never likely.

"Certain" is also not an objective measure for the same reason. But I am certain that we will get exactly the leader we deserve and I certainly don't want to deserve anyone less than Cruz.

Let your fear of the God who hath made and preserved us a nation guide your choice. The outcome belongs to Him alone.

"Ted Cruz scares a lot of people, because they're not conservative"

How many cases has Hillary argued before the Supreme Court?
Ditto Donald?

Part of the problem is that no debate between Cruz and Hillary will ever be moderated by a fair and balanced person or panel. Hillary probably feels she does not need to debate anyone at this point and with the electoral college she may be correct.

I like Trump but I really believe his weakness will be in the debates will the Witch. The questions will obviously be slanted in her favor and she will nail them in a presidential way where as Trump will Trump it and maybe not come off as presidential as her.

Cruz on the other hand has the ability to take any question and turn it around, slamming the Witch with his logic as well as make the moderators look silly. I would really look for the Witch to only debate Cruz one time only and far enough out from the election so she and the MSM can cover for her.

I believe this is the biggest dividing line between Trump and Cruz, Trump a bull in a china closet and Cruz showing the Witch how it is done with class.

I know a lot of people claim to be conservative but when the rubber hits the road they’re on ideologically bald tires.

I don’t disagree with you.

People are going to vote for Hillary-who should at the very least be in prison for sedition, treason, and RICO conviction, if not conspiracy to commit murder. People are going to vote for her.

I’ll be happy if Trump picks off some who don’t think voting in a harpie is a good idea.

Then again, you have millions of people with their hands out. These people will vote their pocketbooks. Cruz doesn’t appear to me to play that game. And yes, I hold the TPA vote against him. Frankly, I think all candidates are dirty with support of H1Bs, H1B1, H1B2 E1, L1, L2....and the Chinese.

Passing the TPP in the Lame Duck is not something I trust Congress to go against. They’re bought or blackmailed or just corrupt pedophiles.

Pulling this country off to the right of the ice berg is going to be, well, bloody.

I called Cruz’s office once to tell him to fight or get out of the way. His Texas boots can use a little mud. Trump needs to swing an ax himself.

I have zero concerns about how Ted Cruz will handle a hostile debate moderator.

From what I’ve seen, the more hostile the opponent the brighter Ted Cruz shines.

LOL, that’s about right. Then it’s back to more lip service until the next election season.

I’m a Trump supporter. If it ever comes
down to having to vote for Trump or Cruz...
I don’t know what I’d do...

“I’m a Trump supporter, but if Cruz gets the nomination he has my vote.

Until then I want to see his stance on immigration change dramatically. (His donors/owners won’t allow that, however....)

Totally agree!

I believe Trump and Santorum (yes, he is still running) are best on legal immigration Visa situation. Cruz, not so much :(

You forgot to mention the unlimited use of foreign student visas. Chinese? University of Illinois is called University of China at Illinois...Univ. of Illinois actually goes to China to recruit.

I think Zuckerberg, Gates, et al. are upset because they lose their cheap labor interns and recent grad hires ($12,000 in payroll tax waivers) after 3 years because there are not unlimited H-1B visas.

Anyone working who isn’t half scared witless about foreigners snagging their job in the next few years is not paying attention at work. Everywhere. Everyone under a ‘golden parachute’ level is on very thin ice. The range of upper middle to middle/lower middle class is 0bama’s main target now.

TMC plays “Dr. Zhivago” every so often. Each time, I wonder where we all are.

As it is, we’re living “King Lear”

Why are people so sure Trump can beat Hillary and Ted Cruz can’t ?

Why are people so sure Hillary will be the DNC nominee ?

Ted Cruz is not in it to beat Hillary, Ted Cruz is in it to change Washington, our lives, and restore the Constitution, that is what really gets lost on a lot of people.

Ted Cruz IS NOT in this to beat Hillary Clinton ( its just a means to a end ) .

Ted Cruz is in this to take on the Washington Cartel as President, to change our lives for the better, and darn shucks , because the Constitution matters..

Police officers and the Military are sworn to up hold and protect the Constitution of the United States of America.

Many have shed their blood and died for the Constitution and their families.

That is what gets lost amoung many for the reason to elect Ted Cruz as President.

The Constitution matters....
