Poor Rachel Maddow and the rest of the MSNBC crew are going to be on suicide watch, last night they were all crowing that the democrat was going to win this race because Kentucky citizens were appalled that Bevin had supported the county clerk who refused to issue gay marriage licenses.

Bzzzt! Wrong again MSNBC, I guess Kentucky isn't the bastion of gay love you thought it was....

Yep. Mark Levin said “We have some great news out of Kentucky!” He said Matt has been on his show several times.

Bevin should thank McConnell.

You know people regretting reelecting that jerk had to have helped Bevin.

Kim Davis backlash definitely played a not-insignificant role in this election.

Yup. Every day more people see their mistakes and have the integrity to go about fixing them. I wish there were more like them. We all have screwed up politically at some point. Not repeating the mistakes is how we fix this mess.

Yes, Bevin has.

Implementation of Obamacare in KY happened via Exec Order. Bevins has said he’ll use EOs to scale back the Medicaid increases and shut down the state exchange.

The guy who looks like Sherman on Rocky and Friends appears to be unraveling.

How many Governors are Dems? Is it 17 or 18?

We did not hear any help or endorsements from the State GOP or McConnell for Bevin.

That is simply not correct. McConnell's support was somewhat tepid but he did endorse him and held multiple events for him including a fundraiser and get out the vote fly around with him and the other candidates. The State GOP put all of its GOTV resources behind the campaign and brought it big names for fundraisers to contribute to the effort. The RGA spent several million dollars to support Bevin.

Mike Harmon (R) just defeated Adam Edelen (D), the incumbent state auditor, nationally touted as one of the biggest rising star in the Democrat Party and the expected Dem candidate touted with a great opportunity to pick up the Senate seat in 2016. That goes down the tubes for them.

If Bevin wins, what does this mean for Kentucky politics? With the likes of McConnell and Ryan still in the Senate, how much can they be trusted to back Bevin?
