The supporters didn’t live here anyway. They live in NYC and Hollyweird and Washington, DC.
They are unaffected by this rejection of their will.
Houston is expected to be financially punished for this rejection (talk of no Superbowl, etc.).
Yeah, I read a lot of votes were coming from conservative and African-American homes.
Yeah, I kept reading articles that said it wouldn’t allow men into women’s bathrooms. I assume that’s because the reporter thinks transgender “women” ARE women.
The lesbian mayor will now just have homosexual action groups sue the City for discrimination and then roll over and not defend the suit, or enter into a consent judgment.
Blacks in general are not as tolerant of homosexuality as whites.
Federal government just cleared the path to permit a boy to unfettered access to the girl’s locker room, showers, and bathroom.
It isn’t about “being me”, it’s about flaunting it.
And it doesn’t take 36 pages to ‘protect’ someone. However, if you want to enshrine sanctuary city status and target businesses that politically opposed same sex marriage....

The horrible irony is that many of these men retain their sexual attraction to women, both when cross dressing and after “transition”.
So while they are convinced they are women, they are still sexually attracted to women.
And are demanding the right to share the bathroom with them.
I’d have less issue with a homosexual man than a transgender “woman” with a penis and a retained sexual attraction to women.
They can’t get what they want from either the legislature (outside San Fransicko) or the people, so they use the judicial end run. Every time.
That’s how they have been able to get their agenda into law, along with Barky’s EOs served upon our poor benighted armed forces: by completely bypassing the electoral and legislative processes.
I'm just surprised that a bill like that is even on a ballot in TX, and even more surprised that it's getting as many votes as it appears to be. Am I accusing the mayor's toadies of messing around with the ballots? You betcha I am.
If 30-40 years ago anyone in TX had as much as even suggested anything like what the mayor wants, much less put it up to a vote, whoever made the suggestion would have been bled out, gutted, and skinned like a year-old steer. My Dad's folks were born and raised in Bexar county and some still live there, so I know whereof I speak.
The fascist actions of the mayor and the city attorney are the main reason I dragged my fat white butt to the polling place to vote “no”.
The crybaby libs are proclaiming that this city is populated by hateful bigots.
This same city 3 times elected an openly lesbian mayor who proclaimed that she would NOT use the powers of the office to advance the homosexual agenda.
She just got slapped down.
It’s early in the evening: they still have time to stuff the ballot boxes or re-program the voting machine tallies.

Surely you jest! Increasing the term of office is also winning by the same percentage that HERO is losing but the TV screen says there’s only 5% of the vote counted. It’s almost like voters chose three items to vote on - vote no on one, vote yes on the other plus one for mayor - as the percentages are so close.
Suspect that there’s going to be a runoff for Mayor - Caucasian against Black. Should prove interesting.
The totalitarian lesbian is losing. Boo hoo.
A runoff was assured with as many candidates were in the running.
And Chris Bell has proven himself to be a FOUR time loser.
