Does anyone even watch this show anymore?

I'll definitely be watching this week. I'm sure it will be a ratings bonanza for them.

Are you kidding? SNL is an American institution. It is the Cadillac for sketch comedians and have made stars out of dozens of cast members. Why do you think politicians are jumping into hosting it?

I have been watching SNL since its debut just over 40 years ago as a 13 year old boy. I even stuck with it during the bad Jean Doumanian years of the early 80’s when only Eddie Murphy and Joe Piscopo kept it alive.

Since 1985, the show has gotten better and better. There are many who say the show’s best years were the late 70s with the original cast but I strongly disagree. There were a lot of lame skits back then and the show was not well served with the Muppets, Mr Bill and those stupid short films.

Donald Trump is no stranger to SNL having hosted the show in the early 2000s and living just a few blocks away from 30 Rock. I’m sure he will rock the house and deliver a performance that only Trump can. I also predict Steve Martin level ratings.
