The New York Times ^ | NOV. 2, 2015 | The Editorial Board

Posted on 11/04/2015 3:00:56 PM PST by detective

Opponents of the law have perversely turned a broad, sensible measure that protects people from discrimination in employment, city services, housing and public accommodations, among other things, into a debate about sexual predators in women's restrooms.

This is an editorial in the New York Times about Houston's Ballot Measure on homosexual rights. The MSM editorial almost demanded that Houston voters support the measure.

Most big corporations, the entire media and a large coalitions of over 100 businesses and civic groups supported it. But the measure was voted down overwhelmingly.

The “enlightened” elites have a different set of beliefs than the “lower” classes.

The people have spoken decisively in a vote. Time for the courts to overturn their decision in 3...2...1.

People and private institutions have an equal right to decide how their property will be used. All other “equal rights” are violations of rights.

Will the infantile left resort to calling for an economic boycott of Houston now?

I wondered how quickly the “enlightened” remark would make it to the comments. In my 58 years I have never seen the elites this out of touch with real America.

I will have a YouTube sing along done regarding this issue hopefully by late tonight. I think it is both enlightening and mockingly funny. Can anyone here sing? The tune is LAST KISS.

It is stunning how they flip things around, using the term “perverse” so wrongly when the perverse people are on their side.

‘strong and enlightened ordinance’

There are those manipulative and bullying adjectives meant to lead naive people to believe, if they don’t agree with the NYT, the naive people are obviously weak and unenlightened. This must be pointed out at every turn! We must start fighting fire with fire!
