GHWB criticizes Cheney/Rumsfeld
Fox News ^ | 11-5-2015 | Brett Bair

"Destiny And Power: The American Odyssey Of George Herbert Walker Bush,"

"he just became very hard-line and very different from the Dick Cheney I knew" Bush told Meacham. "The reaction [to 9/11], what to do about the Middle East. Just iron-ass. His seeming knuckling under to the real hard-charging guys who want to fight about everything, use force to get our way in the Middle East ..."

The 41st president suggested that Cheney may have been pushed toward a harder line by his wife and daughter, Liz and Lynne.

"We smile about it, we laugh about it," Cheney told Fox News. "Same with my daughter, with Liz. It's his view, perhaps, of what happened, but my family was not conspiring to somehow turn me into a tougher, more hardnosed individual. I got there all by myself."

Regarding the former president's "iron-ass" remark,"I took it as a mark of pride," he says. "The attack on 9/11 was worse than Pearl Harbor, in terms of the number people killed, and the amount of damage done. I think a lot of people believed then, and still believe to this day that I was aggressive in defending, in carrying out what I thought were the right policies."

The elder Bush is even harder on Rumsfeld, saying, "I don't like what he did, and I think it hurt the President" -- his son, that is. "I've never been that close to him anyway. There's a lack of humility, a lack of seeing what the other guy thinks. He's more kick ass and take names, take numbers. I think he paid a price for that. Rumsfeld was an arrogant fellow ..."

Rumsfeld has declined to comment on the book.

While Bush still believes in traditional marriage, he claims to have "mellowed" on same-sex marriage.

I was fooled by W.

I'm a member of that group.

Never cared much for GHWB. This just adds to my sentiment. He plays the liberal blame game well, too.

BTW, Cheney and Rumsfeld are two of my favorite people.

I never said they should have disowned her. But they did far more than just love her in spite of.... They were just exactly like Hillary and Obama. They were phony and worked behind the scenes to advance the issue — for their wayward daughter. Everything they did supports that. And Republicans looked the other way because he was one of theirs. We got and are getting what we deserve. We used to say character matters. Now we just say “pick our jerk/liar/scammer instead of their jerk/liar/scammer.”

I do loathe this whole family. They can’t even hide their subversive tactics anymore. Clearly, this is daddy Bush’s extremely lame attempt to reinvent Jeb! by resuscitating Dubya’s moronic decisions about invading the middle east to remake daddy’s New World Order horseshit. To hell with the entire Bush clan. The end.

Now we just say “pick our jerk/liar/scammer instead of their jerk/liar/scammer

That certainly seems to be the case most of the time.

I feel Ted Cruz would bring Honor, Respect & God back into the White House.

Wrong. They declared war on us. The Middle East was a boil that needed lancing. Jihad did not start with 9/11. It started millenia ago. The problem was we used a needle to Lance the boil when we needed to use an axe.

I think so, too. I hope so, anyway.

Now that some of W’s major actions as president are coming under closer scrutiny, and Jeb is running for president, daddy is putting some opinions out there to take some of the heat off his boy(s). It was those hard ass and unreasonable Cheney and Rumsfeld chareacters.

The more I hear from GHW Bush the less I like him. I respect his service in WWII but that being said he is and was a part of the problem we face today progressivism and it’s destruction of America. Reagan should have never made that man VP, he would have won anyway in 80. GHW Bush never respected Reagan or conservatives, he showed it with his no new taxes lie and his sons have repeatedly shown their contempt for conservatives.

You are so right there. Hate Cheney and Rumsfeld, love the Clinton’s and Obamas. A blue blood sickness of magnificent proportion.

Who are they anyway? They don't make any sense. I'd like to know what behind the scene things motivate them to be so schizophrenic.

“They”..who?? If anything has been proven conclusively over the last 13 years it’s that the Narrative of the State regarding the events of 9-11 did not, and could not, have happened they way the state says they did. There is no way possible that a 757 could have flown into the Pentagon in the way the State says it did. It’s absurd. It cannot happen - if for nothing else it defies the laws of physics and motion. And logic. A plane 124 feet wide and 44 feet tall squeezing into a hole 25 feet wide on the first floor of a 75 feet tall structure while traveling at hundreds of MPH is simply not possible. Let alone that the State says that the incoming plane knocked over FIVE light poles (each weighing 250 lbs.) with its wing but somehow none of those light poles cemented into the ground managed to explode the wing fuel tanks. And best of all - the only two plane crashes on land in history which left behind no bodies, no luggage and not much of anything else happened on the same day in two separate locations: DC and Pennsylvania. To believe the Narrative of the State’s version of 9-11 is tantamount to believing in Santa Claus.

As for “they” having “declared war”?? You mean...”Bin Laden’s Al Qeada”??. Well, that trail apparently was given to the State by what we call The Magic Passport. It functions exactly like The Magic Bullet in Dealy Plaza. This Magic Passport was claimed to have belonged to one of the hijackers who flew into the trade center. So magical was The Magic Passport that it managed to travel from the hijacked plane’s pilot, avoid getting burned at all through fiery explosion that cashing into the trade center ignited, managed to find its way to an opening somewhere, and then waft its was gently down onto the street. And even more serendipitously, The Magic Passport managed to escape from being buried under all of the rubble from the collapsing (read: controlled demolition) towers. A CBS news reporter on the scene that day - later in the afternoon (and before the magical “collapse” of building 7 which was not hit by anything) informed viewers that an FBI agent informed him that they in fact had found The Magic Passport just lying on the street!! Imagine that!!!! The Magic Passport that avoided every single destructive calamity in it’s path was luckily passed over by all sorts of thousands of people on a New York City street and managed to be picked by .... a roving FBI agent!!! WOW!!! How lucky is THAT??? And The Magic Passport is one of the main pieces of “evidence” that led the Sate to conclude - “Hey!! This is a Bin Laden attack!! Time to blow the hell out of Afghanistan!!”. And anybody who believes this story that a declaration of war was made by “Bin laden” on the USA is foolish enough to believe one of the main “links” to implicating “Bin Laden” is The Magic Passport’s truly magical powers to avoid fire, rubble, and scrutiny by all except a roving government agent.

Thanks to the stage managed theater of 9-11, we got over 50,000 new government regulations from Dubya alone added to The Federal Register in his 8 years, a brand new government agency monolith called DHS, trillions more debt (after all, ephemeral “Wars On Terror” still cost lotsa money - and that’s money BORROWED AT INTEREST from The Federal Reserve’s owner banks), and a “Patriot” Act allowing the State to basically eavesdrop on you just about any way it wants to and there’s not much you can do about it. Small wonder then why “Dubya” was overheard to once say “the Constitution is just a goddamn piece of paper”. True to his leftist globalist heart, that one. Makes one wish Dubya would have just stayed a coked up drughead loser he’d always been and never saw the light of day in politics.

There was a declaration of war alright on the US on 9-11. But it was made by the State against the citizens of the State. But none of this really was news. In 2000, The Project for a New American Century outlined exactly what the Dubya-Cheney-Rumsfeld triple threat had in store. It was right there in print one year before they found the “new Pearl Harbor” they needed (and that very phrase in that very context is written verbatim in that report) as what was needed to sway citizens to allow this “war on terror” to proceed. So I stand by what I said. The Bush Family is a group of worthless individuals. And fairly treasonous.
