Or, better yet, open carry an unloaded gun with full magazines concealed while carrying a second loaded gun concealed. It's been said that the best reload is a second gun.
The proper answer to these questions is to become "pro-choice". Just because a bad guy sees a weapon doesn't mean that he will necessarily be able to prevail in a shootout.
Just because he sees a weapon doesn't mean that he can easily disarm the carrier and do harm with that weapon.
Just because he sees a weapon doesn't mean that there are no other hidden weapons carried by law-abiding people.
It is the rarity of defensive firearms that lures bad guys to gun free zones. Anything that reduces the chances of a confrontation-free massacre is a step in the right direction.
Gun owners need to be united in the belief that guns in the hands of law-abiding citizens are a good thing regardless of where they are or how they carry.
