My thoughts exactly. I never considered Dr. Carson as presidential material - but unless this story totally blows up, I still think Carson could add value as a VP.

How can he add value as VP if he isn’t prepared to assume the role of President? The VP’s primary job is to be able to take on the President’s job should the President leave office. The VP candidate should be as qualified to take on the role as the person at the top of the ticket.
Can you give some examples of what he would bring to the table? I just don't see it. He's as much of an empty suit as the current occupant of the oval office.

How about Surgeon General?
I agree he’s not presidential material ... so putting him as backup to the president isn’t wise. Surgeon general sounds about right.
