It is so easily checked.

You shouldn’t lie anyway. But this type of lying is just an ego boost.

This is a fatal character flaw.

Even cheating on your wife and making up and living right for 20 years is recoverable.

Some/many people feel like they have to embellish their resume and credentials to make them appear more important.

Recall in 2004, Sen. John Kerry embellished his with references to several pieces of legislation he wrote, etc. In truth, the author was former Sen. Bob KerrEy of Nebraska. Easy mistake -- Ole John just got confused by the similarity of the last names. [/s]
