So, if, after doing some further reading on this and figuring out what actually happened, are you going to come back with a mea culpa?

Because what you think happened here, didn’t. Get your facts straight before you call an honest man a liar, and especially don’t blame a man for lying about military service when he did no such thing.

No reason for a mea culpa. Unless you’ve applied to a service academy and gone through the process, don’t lecture me on the process because you’re the one who’s ignorant about it. I read the story and Carson’s response as well as the Army’s response and it’s obvious Ben embellished the whole story. There’s not even evidence that Westmoreland met with Ben when he said he did. So yes, Carson lied about it.
