Yes. And he didn’t take up the offer.

He decided to go to Yale instead.

Its so easy to get conservatives to eat each other. Just throw a little bait out and they tear each other apart.

Meanwhile king bam bam continues the destruction of America.

Per Dictionary.com - scholarship: a sum of money or other aid granted to a student, because of merit, need, etc., to pursue his or her studies.

West Point fully funded education.

Maybe Carson doesn’t understand how it works. Maybe what he should have said is, higher ups in the army beseeched me to apply to West Point.

He never applied. In a way it is just semantics, or is it? A brilliant high school senior who has started his own business and made millions, might well get a scholarship at Harvard Business School, but he won’t be offered it unless he applies.

It’s not worth lying over. All he had to say was that the military hoped he would apply, that he would be a shoe-in. Though it always will depend who else applied that year.

He was verbally offered. That’s what he said, anyway.

I believe that Westmoreland mentioned to Ben Carson that he could get in to West Point. Many people would consider this an offer of a scholarship.

Right now I couldnt care less if he said he was abducted by aliens.

Who can win the election? My hope is Cruz but any of the top 3 are better than what we have and better than the eGOP.

Yes i think verbally he was offered West Point Contingent on him deciding to take it and also meeting whatever criteria he would need to.

I’m sure West Point was chomping at the bit to get a smart ROTC black student like that in 1969.

The room was full of ROTC guys. You really think Westmoreland singled him out?

Darn right it depends on who else applies. We were to to first seek out our State Senator if we were interested.

Doesn’t one generally need a congressman/woman endorsement to get into West Point? If so, then I wonder who endorsed Carson for him to be offered a scholarship?
