The Obama administration is sending a new message to people on the Obamacare e-mail list. Sign up for health insurance by December 15 or face big fines.
âImportant,â the new email warns subscribers. âThe penalty for not having health insurance is increasing. If you donât sign up for coverage, youâll risk having to pay $695 per person or more for the year.â
Since the new enrollment period is in session, email messages from the Obamacare website have increased urging more people to sign up for coverage or face fines. When asked about the fines faced by Americans without insurance, White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest said that he was unaware of any plans to reduce the penalties.
âIâm not aware of any plans to change the penalties that would be levied,â Earnest said, during the daily press briefing reminding reporters that some people would be fined more for not having health insurance than the actual the cost of health insurance itself.

Today we buy insurance. In Biblical times we stored grain in silos. The same forward thinking drives each effort. I hesitate to suppose Jesus would require we store grain in the silos of those who have made themselves the enemies of his people, or to make room in our silos to protect their grain. Though I have not spoken with anyone at Liberty HealthShare personally, in my research I've read
they accept muslims and homosexual couples as members (click). I could not fault someone for avoiding them as a vendor because of this, anymore than I could fault someone for avoiding Planned Parenthood due to its abortion practice. This very well could be a deciding factor for many FRiends, and is worth mentioning. Thank you for raising the issue.
