So they are trying to MAKE his story untrue, even if it is true. and they believe that if they just claim it's false often enough, it will be, no matter what the actual facts are. And it will work.
They did it to Cain, they did it to Palin, they did it to Bush. The media creates the narrative, and it takes a lot of skill and charisma to fight it. Reagan could do it, and Trump is doing it.
That is my biggest thing I love Trump for is he is dismantling the narratives that the media is constructing.
My guy is Cruz, but he isn't good enough to take on the media in this way yet.

Cain was the worst. All of a sudden 25 women come out and say they were sexually harassed by Cain. But something funny happened when he dropped out........not a peep from those ladies ever again. Makes you wonder.
