Oh, come on! You KNOW that he meant "I wouldn't vote for such a person, and would recommend that no one else do so either." He CLEARLY knows that there can be no religious test for any public office, and he CLEARLY knows that the qualifications for President don't include ANYTHING about a belief in G-d.
If you're going to object to what he says because you disagree with him, that's perfectly fine; but please don't be disingenuous. You KNOW what he meant, stop playing word games.
How can I KNOW what he meant? He CLEARLY said ‘Any president who doesn’t begin every day on his knees isn’t fit to be commander-in-chief of this country.’
He did not say “I wouldn’t vote for such a person, and would recommend that no one else do so either.”
