I can't agree. I've already heard this all regarding today's rally and the "hidden antisemitic" intention for its main slogan, “Polska dla Polakow", i.e. “Poland for the Poles”. The leftist media called that anti-semitic, although NOT A SINGLE ANTI SEMITIC WORD has been said or even whispered. Actually, we got used to those leftist defamation slogans that call us “fascists”, “ultra-right”, “far-right”, “antisemitic”, etc.

Btw, Mr.President's wife is of Jewish origin (Agata Kornhauser-Duda) and she is really loved by right-wing Poles (me too). What's more, she a granddaughter of a Jewish poet who survived from Auschwitz...

Man, who could ask for more?

Please calm down.

First of all, I'm not a "big bad Jew" from the Anti-Defamation League out to slander the Polish people. For your information, I'm a rural white Southern "redneck" from a Fundamentalist Protestant background. So please don't jump to conclusions about the point I was trying to make.

The signs in the photos showed the signs representing the Hungarian "Jobbik" party. Jobbik is not a nice organization. There are rumors that Jobbik is bankrolled by Communist Iran, and they really are anti-Jewish and anti-Israel; that is not the feverish imagination of Jewish leftists. It's simply true. If you will recall, in my post I said that the Poles needed to stay far away from Jobbik. And I stand by that statement.

I also stand by the statement that the Continental European Right is very, very, very different. And one problem with the Right in Europe (and elsewhere and to a lesser degree even in English-speaking countries) is that it tends to reject universal truths in favor of purely local "truths." Thus every single traditionally chrstian country (no exceptions) somehow winds up as THE special, chosen, holy country--the "new Israel."

Chrstianity claims to be an objective, universal religion. It is supposed to be the one true religion for everybody, regardless of history, culture, or ethnicity. Too often chrstianity gets melded into nationalism to the extent that (as I said above) the traditionally chrstian nation is seen as uniquely "chosen" in some way. That is the danger of the European Right and yes, as much as you and I both don't like it, the European Right cannot be assumed to be unqualifiedly pro-Jewish.

Btw, Mr.President's wife is of Jewish origin (Agata Kornhauser-Duda) and she is really loved by right-wing Poles (me too). What's more, she a granddaughter of a Jewish poet who survived from Auschwitz...

That is good, although Halakhically Jews are not supposed to marry non-Jews, just as chrstians are not supposed to marry non-chrstians.

Man, who could ask for more?

I could ask that all Poles, Hungarians, and every other non-Jewish human being become Noachides . . . and I do.
