I will cut the old veteran some slack. I doubt is he is 100% cogent. I wonder who told him to say that to the press.
No doubt it’s from some sort of misguided allegiance to Senatorial decorum.
He wasn’t 100% when in the Senate. He was the perfect whore for the Democrats. Never offering anything and always compromising his values (if any).
