WASHINGTON (AP) -- Federal Reserve Chair Janet Yellen is stressing the need to review the unconventional monetary policies that central banks around the world deployed in response to the 2008 global financial crisis.

She said Thursday that the post-crisis period offers policymakers an opportunity to assess the effectiveness of the tools and better understand the impact of new regulation.

"Policymakers have to carefully weigh the advantages and disadvantages of alternative monetary implementation frameworks in the presence of new policy tools," Yellen said in remarks at a two-day research conference sponsored by the Fed.

Policymakers should also be "mindful of new channels for monetary policy transmission that may have emerged from the intricate economic and financial linkages in our global economy that were revealed by the crisis," she said.

In her brief remarks, Yellen did not address current economic conditions or future policy moves by the Fed.

Negative interest rates.
Stop paper money.
Imbed payment chips.
Go in and confiscate a percentage of the bank accounts of savers who have lived frugally.
Tax on the inhale AND exhale.

Translated: she knows their economic theories are mostly bunk and long-disproven and discredited, and are leading us down an economic debt-gorged rat hole, but she wants someone else to admit that “adjustments are needed.”

What a crock.

"alternative monetary implementation frameworks"

Yep, while joking about it for a century, it seems we'll soon see the Fed drop money from the sky.

How could there be a more efficient method to distribute dollars and inject money into the demand side?

Yep, it's the perfect solution to our woes.

Of course I would like a definitive yes or no answer if America was indeed stating into an economic abyss in 2008. If not, were average Americans had, or was the Fed going to take over the economy anyway in behalf the nebulous New World Order. You know, the shining points of light bunch.

I’ll be honest: what they’re doing to Europe is downright scary.

There was a little town of 36 people. They were gonna put 320 refugees in there. The 36 people who knew their little town will not have a chance at all. They will be outnumbered 9-to-1, roughly.

The life they once knew and the little town and nation they knew, all changing very, very rapidly.

You mean like all the money we gave other countries central banks?

Yeah, they should probably reconsider how they do business and we should never help them again.

Ungwateful Plicks...
