She might want to rethink that. Backpacks get stolen.
I was on several college campi the last couple weeks and I carried everywhere I went. A big FU to them.
From TCU "safety policy" bulletins..how convenient so that the suicidal mass murderer can be photographed mowing down the unarmed innocent..
You might be right, but I never got my backpack stolen in the 5 years I was in college.
So any crack pot who wants to shoot up a school knows where to go now. Glad none of our grandchildren attend that citadel of political correctness in Fort Worth.
I'm just being overly cautious...probably due to my years as an inner-city high school teacher. All sorts of things got stolen there, and near there, almost on a daily basis.
Hopefully, today's colleges aren't as bad as that school, yet.
I usually kept my backpack within arm’s reach, too.
Any colleges that opt out should be required to post signs at every entrance reading “Warning: Victims are required to be unarmed, but criminals will continue to carry firearms.”
I don’t blame you.
Hmmm let’s see =
Get kicked out of school or charged with a weapons violation....
or
Get raped or killed...
Decisions decisions.... I’ll take the one that keeps her alive. Yep, I’ll take an infraction over burial any day.
I saw a sign outside a restaurant that said that only concealed and carry weapons were allowed on the premises.
BTW, besides my TI-85 calculator, there was nothing in my backpack of value. That may be different today with kids lugging laptops and cellphones around.
I’ll add to that; ilo the backpack, the market has been recently flooded with apparel for women who carry ultra-compact pistols.
Hideaway pockets... moneybelt-type wraps that go around the waste... inside the pants holsters... all cool apparel ideas for women to carry concealed and still be fashionable.
I’d say some cool concealed carry clothes and jackets would make for a good Christmas list.
Call it TWU now. W stands for “wimp”.
So now everyone with any good sense will just concealed- carry Still okay but I’ve always thought open carry may be even better at reducing crime and enhancing everyone’s safety Deterrents which are forced out of eight can also become out of mind — reducing their beneficial deterrence I think —? Sounds like a foolish decision.
TVU
Texas Victim University.
Me too. Nobody will know I have it unless I need it and then I don’t care.
How about swords ?
Then Simon Peter, having a sword, drew it and struck the high priestâs servant and cut off his right ear. (The servantâs name was Malchus.)
“NO GUNS ALLOWED” signs don’t stop criminals...and they don’t stop me.
Well, TCU just opted IN for legal liability to any CHL holder (or their Estate, as the case may be) who gets injured or killed in an on campus shooting spree.
I wonder how much more money they are going to spend on campus security after announcing their “open season on our students and faculty” status?
You better believe that they will - they just publicly painted a target on ever person on that campus, and by prohibiting carry they have assumed responsibility.
