He is just thrilled to find out what normal feels like.
I hope once he gets to somewhere that he can make new first impressions he really discovers normalcy.

The bad part about living in a rural area is everyone knows everything and no one forgets anything.

I misunderstood. I thought he was stuck. Glad he’s got a chance. I understand completely about small towns. Moving may well change his life. Gives him much better odds at any rate.

No, he has family scattered over the country. His family is in every branch of the service so he has options.

It was really odd.
Doctors seem to be prescribing something for every kid in the world except those who really need it.
This kid needed help but the experts wanted counseling and whatnot for the entire family.
Finally an old country doctor put the kid on meds and fine tuned it for about a year.

I have no doubt that if the old doc hadn’t stepped in, the kid would have killed himself or someone else very soon.

Really strange. The doctor heard about the kid from one of his patients.
After hearing so much he sent word to bring the kid in.
He talked to and examined him for about an hour.
Gave the kid some sample packs and a prescription.
The beginning of a new life for the kid and his family.

I really hope the kid does well.
Now that he is getting better he is taking care of his appearance and manners.
A completely different person now.
