Hollande: 'We are going to lead a war which will be pitiless'
Washington Examiner ^ | 11/13/15 | Pete Kasperowicz

Posted on 11/13/2015 7:52:05 PM PST by markomalley

French President Francois Hollande promised early Saturday morning that France would respond to terrorist attacks that killed more than 120 people with a "pitiless" war against the group responsible.

"We are going to lead a war which will be pitiless," he said at the Bataclan, the site of one of the attacks, according to the Guardian.

"Because when terrorists are capable of committing such atrocities, they must be certain that they are facing a determined France, a united France, a France that is together and does not let itself be moved, even if today we express infinite sorrow," Hollande added.

Hollande's remarks came after what appears to be the biggest terrorist attack ever on French soil, and some emerging signs that the Islamic State is responsible.

They also may pose a challenge to the Obama administration, which has faced increasing criticism about whether its plan to "degrade and ultimately destroy" ISIS is working fast enough. Secretary of State John Kerry was in Vienna Friday for more talks about how to handle the Syrian civil war, which has been credited with creating the conditions for the Islamic State to thrive there.

"These are heinous, evil, vile acts," Kerry said in response to the attacks. "Those of us who can must do everything in our power to fight back against what can only be considered an assault on our common humanity."

Hollande’s threats are probably taken as seriously by our enemies as 0bama’s.

“... fight back against what can only be considered an assault on our common humanity.”

Obviously it is not “our common humanity” if the muslims want the rest wiped out.

I hate to harken to the Warsaw Ghetto, but perhaps the Gendarmerie and l’Armee should blockade certain ‘bainlieues’ like Seine-Saint-Denis, like the Nazis did. Don’t fire unless fired upon, but prevent any traffic in or out. Those residents who choose to surrender, strip and come out. After being clothed and fed, put them on a plane to their home country or, if they are born in France and refuse to publicly denounce mohamedanism, ship them to the re-opened ‘bagne de Cayennes’ for the remainder of their lives.

Once a ‘bainlieue’ is cleared, move on to the next. After two or three clearances, the numbers voluntarily leaving, should skyrocket. Rinse and repeat throughout Europe.

Unfortunately, the politicians have stones the size of the head of a pin.

Probably not but this will only be the first attack of many to come which will force a change.

Horse hockey. He’s already surrendered by turning the lights off the Eiffel Tower. The city of lights is dark.

That is what it is going to take.

There really is no other answer.

It’s time to clean with bleach.

Oh NOW he wants to be Mr. Tough Guy..a few weeks ago he told Netanyahu to show “Restraint” from all the terror attacks going on in Israel, but now that Hollande has seen true terror face to face now he wants to act tough. Gee Hollande, where were you when these Jihadist scum pretending to be “Refugees” were being allowed into your country

Agreed. If there is one (okay, two) thing the French are proud of, it is their heritage and culture. Although the French revolution was heinous, there is still a plethora of history in that country. If they are going to save it, they will need to get rid of all Muslims. Period. Although 99% can probably be trusted to not terrorize, the other 1% cannot be trusted. So you have to throw the baby out with the bath water...no compromise. Let’s hope they do it!

It’s too late. They will not have the courage to round up every military aged muslim and deport them, so they will suffer continued attacks and riots. The French will gnash their teeth and wail, but the islamic conquest machine has started and will not stop.

I’m giving the French the benefit of the doubt here too.
We give them a hard time, but they have a long and proud military tradition. I don’t see them truckling like the Spanish to the savages.

Besides helping to save our bacon at our beginning, the vocabulary of warfare and the military include many words of French origin (battalion, dragoon, soldier, marine, grenadier, guard, officer, infantry, cavalry, army, artillery, corvette, musketeer, carabineer, pistol, fusilier, squad, squadron, platoon, brigade, corps, sortie, reconnaissance/reconnoitre, surveillance, rendezvous, espionage, volley, siege, terrain, troop, camouflage, logistics, accoutrements, bivouac, aide-de-camp, legionnaire, morale, esprit de corps. See also military ranks: sergeant, lieutenant, captain, colonel, general, admiral.
