Definitely time to racially profile. Regular French people and some local security are giving me the side eye, which is fine. I’m an indian-American from Texas, parents were born over there. The general feeling here is full of fear and you can sense there’s a mood of appeasement. I wish there was more defiance. I wish they’d light up the Eiffel tower as a sign of strength instead of keeping it dark. They have a massive, metaphorical middle finger and they’re not using it.
Stay strong and defiant against the terrorists and appeasers there, sir!
Kick ass. FReeper! I like your strong stance.
Thank you. Believe me, if blonde women were blowing people up right and left, I’d be the first denouncing and I would be ok with plenty of side eye.
You remind me of one guy I saw right after 9/11. It almost made me cry. I was picking someone up at LAX and they didn’t let cars in close for some time (probably until they had a way to inspect or test better). So a lot of us would go wait in the outlying car lots and have our traveler take the shuttle there. I was parked behind a man doing the same as me. His car was COVERED with red white and blue. He had I LOVE USA bumper stickers, Proud American, everything you can imagine, flag waving from the window. He stepped out of his car to open his trunk and I figured it out. Poor guy was a darker skinned Sikh. He wore the turban and robes.
Profiling is good, if done fairly. Most people are good and innocent but if you’re careful you can spot the ones who are not.
Stay safe.
