I also am an old woman and drive, rather than fly, I am bilateral cochlear implant and hate the ‘pat down’ inspection that I have to have...thus I drive..
travel from SW Pennsylvania to NC and Georgia every couple months to visit adult kids.

South Florida to Dulles Airport area is almost exactly 900 miles...I have another northern daughter, but she tries to drive down from Lake Ontario to make it a family affair...not every year, but we made it this summer!
