Those are 2 good ideas. I purchased a disc with over 100 how to books from around 1840. I know where I would be awfully hard to find.
I have a couple of hard copies from around 1880. Everything from animal husbandry to carpentry, some info on gasworks and electricity, and welding/blacksmithing. Check Gutenberg.org, you’d be amazed at what can be downloaded free. Print the material you think might be useful, because when the SHTF I’d expect the US to get hit with an EMP first, or attacks on power substations. The latter would be a mess, but the former would be devastating.
