This is for you and everyone else. I recognize that sarcasm may not translate well in written text, if you’re being sarcastic then you can ignore the rest of this post.
Despite the resident cockroaches, who many people wouldn’t mind seeing bear the results of their inaction against Islamic terrorism, that city is important to the country.
It’s very likely that a terrorist attack on DC will kill and/or injure civilians. Tourists. Kids on their 8th grade social studies trips etc...Also, a lot of our national history resides there (The Declaration, the Consititution, The Smithsonian, The library of congress) along with many, many landmarks.
We should care about losing those things. They are a big part of what helps us understand who we are or at least who we should aspire to be as a country.
