I was thinking if they hit around the Piccadilly Square area, with all of the theaters and stores nearby.

Yep. It looks like it’s going to take a heavy wake up call to get their heads right.

Until England decides allow cops to carry and citizens to carry, they will be sitting ducks.

I thought it took 2 hours for the French police to respond to the concert shootings.

The number of armed cops isn’t the problem. Response time is.

I lived in the UK for six years. Studying and reading about their history is a hobby of mine. It’s heartbreaking to see it surrendered to the far left and muslims..

The Metropolitan and British police have always been unarmed. Even during WWI, WWII and the Northern Irish troubles. I’d like to see an ISIS member manage to get his hands an an AK-47 in Britain. We are an island and everyone who goes in or out has their person or luggage screened before they can enter or leave. It ain’t easy.

Response time is greater when those on patrol don’t have weapons.

There are about 765,000 police officers in the United States.

And 11,000,000 civilians with carry permits.

According to the article, all of the French police have firearms.

If this is true, then why did it take 2 hours to respond?

6,000 armed cops is not enough, however, I would think their response time might be a bit better than 2 hours.

All that aside, an armed populace is always the first responder in these situations. An unarmed population is target practice.

Are they searching the hordes of immigrants rushing in through the channel tunnel?

Now, take a look at this youtube video of Pakistani gunsmiths MAKING guns with Third-World equipment. What happens if ten of these gunsmiths set up shop in some basement in the UK? How tightly does the UK control machine tools and steel stock?

The 2 hours include the time the police were already on the scene at the concert hall, but before they decided to storm a place holding hostage.

One comment is telling: Would any of you want to be an armed police officer knowing if you shoot someone you will spend months if not years under investigation, Our soldiers are haveing to go through the same thing after fighting wars for the politicians

The legal climate (both there and here) gives an incentive to police to not enter a conflict if there's a plausible way to excuse not intervening.

The advantage of CCW: if I perceive my family is in danger, I will shoot without hesitation.
