More than half the nation's governors -- 27 states -- say they oppose letting Syrian refugees into their states, although the final say on this contentious immigration issue will fall to the federal government.
States protesting the admission of refugees range from Alabama and Georgia, to Texas and Arizona, to Michigan and Illinois, to Maine and New Hampshire. Among these 27 states, all but one have Republican governors.
Well, unless he is willing to thoroughly background check those refugees, the threat of at least one deciding to go out and murder a few hundred Americans is a valid concern. Would Syrian Christian refugees be a problem either? They get killed out there.
Possibly worse if one of the refugees pulls a Paris...
That thought did cross my mind...
Good morning Cincinatus’ Wife.
Hey community organizer, up yours pal ya pile of pooh.
If states can refuse Syrians, why not illegal Mexicans?
He’s reneged on that promise...
Great ad material.
The Governors need to be willing to use their full resources to either physically stop, or round up any refugees that Obama tries to place in their territory..
He lied.
2009 Nobel Peace Prize given to Obama for"promoting new climate" in int'l relations with Muslims
""The 2009 Nobel Peace Prize was awarded to United States President Barack Obama for his "extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between people". The Norwegian Nobel Committee announced the award on October 9, 2009, citing Obama's promotion of nuclear nonproliferation and a "new climate" in international relations fostered by Obama, especially in reaching out to the Muslim world."
And I will say again like I said yesterday. Why just SYRIANS?
Why don’t these Governors call it out for what it is.
Not Muslims. No Islamic faith based.
Saying just Syrians leave it WIDE A$$ open to the rest of that area. Africa (Ethiopia, Sudan, Egypt, Libya), Iran, Croats, etc. Whatever muzzie ObucketoCrap wants to bring over he will
Come on Governors grow a pair. Call it for what it is.
Call your Governor and get him to amend his letter/statement
Yessir, the South will Rise Again
Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-Ala.), the chairman of the Judiciary Subcommittee on Immigration and the National Interest, said Congress should cancel what he called the âblank checkâ for refugee resettlement in the omnibus.
âUnder current admissions policies, we can be expected to resettle another nearly 700,000 migrants from Muslim countries over the next five years,â Sessions wrote....â
This along with Cruz’s bill will do some serious hurt to Obama’s plan to crush America.
Now we need to round up the existing refugees that are here and boot their a$$ out.
So now, the seriously deficient (JMHO) governor isn't going to say "no" to another population that will probably include beheaders and war-hardened individuals? Most Syrians I know are educated and hard working. They'll be entering the colleges and taking jobs that blacks might have filled, if they weren't so *ell-bent on destroying everything when they don't get every silly demand they have met. At least some will join the mosques and other Muslim aspects of St. Louis, with the potential of radicalizing the Bosnian Muslims already there.
Is my reasoning making any sense? St. Louis area should be on the short list of places that can't possibly absorb that population. It could end up being a Caliphate, near the center of the US!!
Is there anyone sane left in Missouri who will figure out the perfect storm they're brewing?
Que Cera
You have to have somebody willing to enforce it and abide by it.
I saw a map of the United States recently that showed where refugees (by country) had settled, Missouri was BOSNIA and that struck me at the time - right there in the middle of the U.S. If I can locate it, I'll post it on the thread.
“Syria, Syria, you’re not alone! Call St Louis your new home!”
On 13 September, hundreds of St Louis-area residents converged in a parking lot in the suburb of University City to demand that the US government raise the cap on the number of Syrian refugees allowed in the country - and settle at least 60,000 of them in St Louis.
The rally, which included speeches from religious leaders, Muslim activists and Syrians, culminated in a march through a University City’s business district, where the streets echoed with a recurrent cry: “Bring them here! Bring them here!”.....
