The fact that ISIS is able to recruit ANYBODY means there are some sick puppies out there who cannot be redeemed.
The way to reverse ISIS recruiting is to make it plain that joining the group will result in your prompt, guaranteed demise. Not a “glorious” combat death but a dirty, nasty expiration with nobody applauding because all your newfound friends are dead, too.
The people that ISIS recruits already see their life as dirty, nasty and short. I'd guess they see dieing young for a cause as better then dieing young for nothing at all.
How else can you rationalize a twelve year old suicide bomber?
