A lot of travelers carry backpacks.
My guess is that this turns out to be nothing - whether they did something accidental to trigger suspicion, or by intent (to goad a response), I don't know - but I am pretty certain that we will hear choruses of caterwauling from CAIR soon about how they are being victimized.
Better safe than sorry though.
And as an added safety measure - reduce their numbers in this country (the twirling dervishes can stay ... I've never heard of them bombing people. Although I can't actually say was is their gig. They like to twirl a lot, I suppose...).

My guess is that this turns out to be nothing A popular terrorist tactic is "desensitizing". Doing apparently innocent things that are unusual to the general population. As they occur more frequently, the general population ceases to be concerned by them.
Then, WHAM! You find out they were praying on their rugs near the lavatories for a reason.

Since a law was passed that pensioners get free rides on buses after 10am
Pensiones waiting at but stop at 9.45...asks bus driver "am I too early?"
Driver replies...Yeas you are twerlie....get on the next bus.
