Actually all it would take would be moving Portland into its own state and the rest of the state would be reliably conservative. I am from the Salem area and our metro area leans right and would balance out Eugene. The rest of the state would more than balance out the few coastal towns and we would have a very conservative state.

I was born and raised in Corvallis and watched it go from a beautiful city to a left-wing trash pit. First homosexual marriage performed in the country (illegally of course) was on the steps of that incredible court house by a lesbian chief of police. Amazing transformation into the darkness.

Yes, you are right about Salem and the greater portion of the rest of the state, but Portland and Eugene outweigh all of the rest of the population and destroyed that once-fine place. It seems to be getting darker.
