There are a few school districts in CT that have decided to recognize muslim holidays.
Eventually, I suspect in the future, they will be declared *full holidays* with students to not attend school that day.
I wish I had the energy to create a volunteer group to get all the kids and their parents into church basements, halls and have a day of US civics learning. Parents, who work, would jump at the chance to have a place for their kid/s to go for the day; it would be a win-win.
