I do not believe that the Founders intended the president to have the power to force resettlement in the USA of refugees of a foreign war involving adversaries of the USA.

I do not believe they wrote that power into the constitution.

I do not believe they were sitting around at the constitutional convention one day and they said, “I know, let’s give the president the power to bring anyone he wants into this country...even if it’s sleeper enemy agents.”

It is treaty law obligating the US to participate in refugee resettlement. Some of the Founders knew this could be a problem.

Only Congress has the power to regulate immigration. That includes so called war refugees.

The president has the obligation to enforce the laws that Congress has passed and no power to ignore them.

He should have been impeached a long time ago. But our congress is filled with sniveling cowards.
