A bit heavy for everyday carry. I had the pleasure of shooting an LAR Grizzly in 45 Winchester Magnum. It looks like a 1911, but larger. After 10 rounds, the stippling on the backstrap left a serious pattern in the web of my hand. The party who provided the Grizzly had a chance to shoot my Ruger Super Redhawk in .454 Casull with some Hornady 300 gr @ 1500 fps. That feels like a baseball bat slapping your hand. We both had ear to ear grins the went home with our toys.
Yer gonna have me in tears...
Had to offload all my beloved .45s. My wrists just won’t take it anymore.
Oh how I wish I could play with YOUR toys!
No trouble for Arnold, eh? (/sarc)
From Wiki:
"The .45 Winchester Magnum case is redrawn with thicker walls and longer case. The thicker wall dimensions of the .45 Winchester Magnum are designed to accommodate a higher internal pressure (40,000 cup) than that of the .45 ACP (18,000 cup [21,000psi or 140MPa])."
Shakes the range walls, man!
