I ditched AARP years ago, because of their lopsided “non-partisan” agitation for various social legislation schemes for seniors that did not seem to have much long-term benefit.

Turns out that AARP is mostly an insurance brokerage, and does not have much to do with actually addressing the concerns of “senior citizens”.

UnitedHealthGroup is just one of the larger insurance schemes they have been pushing. Hartford Auto and Home is another, and New York Life is their choice for life insurance.

Check in and see just how solvent these firms are. And if one (or more) of the lines is being skimmed to make up for losses in another line.

AARP is so reliable, you know.

You correctly stated the widely misunderstood relation between United and AARP.

AARP is not an insurer.

The United policies when for sale, could be purchased direct with no AARP involvement
