Six reasons Ted Cruz is in trouble

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Tex.), despite good reviews in the debate and yet another immigration issue set up for him to exploit, has a rockier path ahead of the him than he did before the Paris attacks. Like a number of other candidates, he has a path to the nomination, but it is narrower than many imagined. Here are six reasons:

“Cruz remains obsessed with immigration. For many of those who care deeply about the existential threat to the West, he seems bizarrely off-base.”

Not being a Cruz fan, I can assure everyone that these six reasons were cooked up just so she could include that one. That is the one she is worried about. That is the one that gave Cruz notice in the last debate.She could have said that about Trump, but that would have exposed her hand. I know how these leftys think.

They want liberal government. They just want it with an R to avoid having to openly vote as the liberals they actually are. It’s purely an ago thing. They believe in the liberalism, but their whole lives they spoke against Dems. So they cannot admit to actually being liberal. They simply say one thing and do another and get pissed off when anyone points it out.

Look how many of these ‘conservatives’ told us that Ryan was a conservative who would hold Romney’s feet to the fite...TO GET ROMNEY ELECTED.

And had a snowflake level tantrum every day since the Great Fail of 2012.

As I said I have no idea what those two are up to but they have something cooking.

Just a reminder, I said here that after the media thought they had Carson positioned to take out Trump, they would destroy Carson. Mission accomplished. Then I said they were already coming in with the stories praising Cruz to have him take out Trump. Well, neither he nor Trump are playing---they don't attack each other. But my point was, all those fawning stories everyone was posting here on FR about how Cruz had a "secret strategy" to win, it was just more set-up from the drive bys.

I am NOT saying Cruz hasn't earned his 10-14%. Maybe he'll get more, maybe he won't (I think the latter). All I wanted to point out is that there was a reason that there was a burst of pro-Ted stories in the drive-bys---and it wasn't because they like or respect Cruz or actually think he'll win. They were setting him up as the next "Donald Buster" so they could swap him out for Rubio.

And, no, I don't think that strategy will work either. Rubio has dug his own grave.

People wish that inconvenient truth would just disappear. But it won’t whether we talk about it or not. People have seven fits that I bring it up and claim it’s all past. Clearly it is not ‘past’ as the same people were pulling the same cunning stunt with Mitch/Jonbon and co. in 14 and are doing it yet again for 16.

I haven’t seen any “fawning” stories about Cruz in the MSM. The stories I’ve seen talked about how everyone hates Cruz and how unpopular he is.

I’m not saying they don’t exist. I’m just saying that I am not familiar with them.

At least we can say we stood on the right side of history when they bring it down around us. Small consolation, sure, but we did our part. We didnt back evil and demand others join us.

Go back about three weeks here on FR. There were a dozen stories at least about Cruz being the “most likely GOP candidate,” or Cruz “laying a foundation to victory” all those kinds of phrases. These were from the drive-bys. I commented on it at the time. I warned people they weren’t what they appeared-—these people were desperate to elevate Cruz as a placeholder until they could revive Rubio.

I think Cruz is pursuing a great step-by-step strategy and will be in the final three.

I’m just happy knowing that they can lie to everyone online, And they will certainly manage to convince the weak minded of their sincerity. Just as they convinced them to join their idiocy. But when the SHTF, they can’t lie to themselves about their part in making it happen. And it will eat at them till they croak. And the blame will fall on them. They better band together because the rest of us will be closing our doors in their faces.

Human nature. Despite all their bluster, they know they screwed up royally. They were playing a Vegas dice game and it bit them. Why else would they be making fools of themselves all this time later and desperately trying to convince people they were really the right ones when the facts line up against them right down the line?

Eats them like a disease. Too much invested. No way to back down without total loss of face.

So they double, triple and quadruple down. Just like any other liberal would. Look at the history and it’s all there verbatim.
