Far more telling for Cruz is the Steve King endorsement. I greatly respect and admire Steve King who along with Sessions have been the gold standard on immigration issues. I have worked with both of them on the issue.Rep. Steve King's announcement to endorse Ted Cruz was a remarkable statement on several levels. Rep. King said, "I believe that Ted Cruz is the candidate who is the answer to my prayers - a candidate God will use to restore the soul of America." That is not your typical endorsement on policy agreements alone in my experience, but rather a strong signal to Evangelical Christians in his state of Iowa and elsewhere in the USA. It certainly got our attention in Texas.
Senator Sessions' communication director also issued a recent statement defending Cruz in his efforts to kill the Gang of Eight bill with poison-pill amendments confirming Sessions and Cruz coordinated the strategy together for that purpose. Sessions and Cruz are also collaborating together now to craft H-1B reform legislation.
There is no doubt in my mind that all three men are on the same page regarding immigration policy going forward.

I like Trump, but some of the Trump supporters have their facts confused on who was first out with his positions. Cruz was there on every issue before Trump gave his first campaign speech and there is video and transcript to prove it. They have a difference in style, not policy.

Rubio and Cruz will be battling it out from now on. They both recognize that only one of them will survive to challenge Trump. I hope Cruz wins against Rubio. This will clear the field for a non-GOPe candidate.

Cruz’s close relationship to House Conservatives was sealed during the Gang of 8 fight. Cruz worked side by side with Sessions and as for the House, Steve King, who just endorsed Cruz, remembers well the role that Cruz had in defeating both that bill and the assault on the 2nd amendment, as well.

You need to read Cruz’s immigration plan. He could not be more clear on his plan to deport illegals and enforce the rule of law. He says nothing about giving them an expedited way back in as Trump has proposed. I have found video of Cruz giving his immigration policy going back to 2011 when he talked about securing the border with a wall. I understand your support of Trump, but you are selling Cruz short. Without Cruz, amnesty would already be law.
Ted sticks to the facts, which is what he’s doing with his Rubio ads. Rubio will drop out eventually. So will the rest of them.
Then it will be Cruz and Trump, if Trump’s mouth hasn’t taken him out by then.
And that’s when we’ll get down to the real deal. Trump won’t be able to stand against Cruz’s intellect. He’ll flail, take things personally, rail and yell, and Cruz will take him down.
It’s going to get interesting.
I’ve always been a Cruz supporter, but I like Trump too and you’re correct.
We have the most conservative candidate since 1980 and there are people who want to role with the political chameleon that is Donald Trump. Unreal.
