I have been observant since 1974. I worked for the Fed for the next 16 years following 1985.
Reagan is the model. He will tell you the 11 most feared words in America.
Think about it. He won in 2 landslides.
“I am from the government and I am here to help”
Wasn’t that great. I loved that line.
I agree that he is the model. We know what his goals were, but with a Democrat Congress he did run into obstacles.
I turned 18 in 1969 and grew up in the age of protests, anti-government sentiment, and the hippy generation.
I did not identify with any of those things. In fact it cost the Democrats any chance of my ever being one.
I considered myself to be a Conservative, but I didn’t grasp things anywhere near as much as I do today.
I could say I was observant since 1969 or so, but I picked up a lot since then of course.
