Never thought I'd see the day where official policy at the VA is to disallow saying Merry Christmas to a Vet. But, hey, trees are back in as long as they don't "discriminate" against the other religions.
After heated debate, Salem VA Medical Center allows Christmas tree after all
............After a lengthy discussion, it was determined that Christmas trees could be displayed in public areas so long as they were accompanied by the respective symbols of the two other faiths that celebrate holidays during this holiday season â namely the Jewish Menorah, or Hanukkah Lamp, and the Kwanzaa Mkeka (decorative mat) or Kinara (candleholder)................

So Christians get a pagan symbol, Jews get a Jewish symbol and blacks (is that a religion??) get a black symbol.
Makes no sense.
