One of my professors at our community college told me....â€You wouldn’t believe what they pay meâ€....and he didn’t mean too little.
Hard to believe. I know for a fact that CC professors don’t make a lot of $$. I know of one professor at my university that didn’t get tenure. His next job was at a community college where the starting salary was half what a junior, assistant professor made...which would put it at about $30K. I also know one senior level CC professor getting ready to retire. After 30 years, he still makes under $70K; a full professor at a regular university would make closer to $120. And the CC professors have big teaching loads.
