Um, Trump rose about 11 points since the last IA poll. I get the Cruzers excitement, but an honest realistic reading of this is that TRUMP has surged and is doing better in IA than he has in two months.

Trump has basically stayed the same in the CBS poll since Sept 13.

Cruz has gained 11 pts to get into 2nd place.

Cruz doesn’t need to pick off Trump’s support to win Iowa he only needs to take Carson’s and with the way Carson is running his campaign and putting his foot in his mouth Cruz has an excellent chance to take the lead.

Perspective—Trump now has a nine point lead over #2, whereas it was down to three in the previous poll. To the #1 guy, it doesn’t matter who is #2, only the gap. Gap has grown six points since Carson got close.
