Why don't you post the "context," then? If you mean this one in the NewsMax story where he says "I was his biggest cheerleader," I'll save you the trouble. The time he was referring to was 2008, when he was still registered as a Democrat.

In fairness to Trump, although he was a Democrat, he officially endorsed that great Republican conservative, John McCain because "I've known him, I like him, I respect him .... He's a smart guy."

He also demonstrated more of his propensity as a great judge of character *rolls eyes* when he said in 2008: "Hillary's a great friend of mine. Her husband is a great friend of mine. They're fantastic people. I mean, they're -- you know, the thing, they get a bad knock. She's a very nice woman. People think, tough, tough. And I guess she's tough, but she's a very nice woman. And he's a very nice guy. We know all about the smarts and how smart they are, and all, but they are good people."

So why did Trump endorse McCain in 2008 when he was such a great friend of the Clintons (he donated at least $100,000 to the Clinton Foundation) and a registered Democrat?

At the time, it was frequently suggested by those interviewing him that if Obama had chosen Trump's good friend Hillary Clinton, he'd have been endorsing Obama instead of McCain, Trump DECLINED TO DENY IT. Instead, he avoided answering yes or no, but just skirted it.

Trump's supporters are the first to admire Trump for saying what he means and meaning what he says.

That Trump didn't outright deny the idea that he'd have endorsed Obama if Hillary had been is running mate ... ought to tell something to those who are so enamored of his "straight talk."

So Jo6chip, review YOUR source -- at the time, Trump actually was a fan of Obama, he thought Obama had a lot of great ideas, just that Obama was going about them the wrong way. Otherwise, you'd be able to post links where Trump talks as harshly about Obama then as he does now. Maybe an "unfair" GOP has had all those statements scrubbed?

Cruz says don't talk about Obamacare's replacement until you've repealed it first. Cruz's main goal is "health care reform that keeps government out of the way between you and your doctor."

All I hear from Trump is "This is an un-Republican thing for me to say because a lot of times they say, "No, no, the lower 25 percent that can't afford private. But .... I am going to take care of everybody. I don't care if it costs me votes or not. Everybody's going to be taken care of much better than they're taken care of now.... the government's gonna pay for it. But we're going to save so much money on the other side. But for the most it's going to be a private plan and people are going to be able to go out and negotiate great plans with lots of different competition with lots of competitors with great companies and they can have their doctors, they can have plans, they can have everything."

"Going to be able to," Mr. Trump, or "Going to be REQUIRED to by Federal law"? On that minor detail, Trump's talent for straight-talk evaporates.

Shining the light of truth, here. The truth is what will keep America free.

Good post. Enough there to raise serious doubts about Trump*s reliability.

Chortle! That is precisely the point we were making, being that Trump backed Obama, about the most evil person ever to have run for president of this country. Same Obama of Jeremiah Wright, Bill Ayers, Frank Marshall etc. And this as as recently as 2008. Can't get any worse than that.
