Trump got it wrong. There WERE Muslims celebrating but it was in the West bank; NOT in NJ. Trump just looked foolish when he made that statement. If there really were celebrations in NJ, there would have been at least a video or a picture. And, BTW, that 9-18-01 Washington Post article that people love to use as "proof" was later shown to be unsubstantiated.
On a related note, I can't believe how the Dems are now clinging on to this as a way of trying to trying to revive their message. They don't have much to run on and, unfortunately, Trump just threw them a lifeline.

Go check the archives of the N.Y. Post..that paper had several different articles on the N.J. and Michigan Muslims celebrating!
I also SAW them celebrating, with the smoldering remains of the WTC in the background, on local NYC news shows!

Trump has gone all Brian Williams.
He has confused things in his head, but rather than take the decent way out he's doubling down, turning an honest mistake into an outright lie.
This is not a man we can allow to get anywhere near the Oval Office.
