Military should go on strike over this.
These people are putting military lives at unnecessary risk.
I would not advise any young person to go into the military at this point. Their own government is their biggest risk.
I retired from the military after 21 years of service in 1995. Since then I've been working as a court stenographer for the Department of the Army in the civil service.
I would not and do not advise any young person to join the military any more. In fact, I have actively argued against it to youngsters and their families who have been positively thinking about doing so.
In the old days, there wasn't a more positive supporter of military service than I, seeing it as to their benefit to gain discipline and a skill.
