He was in The Way We Were? I remember hating that film.
I fell in love with him in Against All Odds, a film I really related to for a number of reasons, including the locations. But he was an absolute gem in that movie, acting with his whole face and eyes, heart and soul. Until the end where he meets his demise, and they needed to give him some stupid dialogue for that scene. He’s been my favorite actor since that movie and he does not disappoint.

Another Day In Paradise. He played the leader of a band of functioning junkies. Good flick, good actor!

Hollywood has more conservatives than is commonly realized, especially among character actors and those behind the camera and in production and support services. The shift of the Left against Israel helped to spur a trend toward the Right, as have personal collisions with the hard facts of life. Robert Downey, Jr., for example, declines to discuss politics in detail but says that after his prison experience, he could no longer be a liberal.

Woods went on to explain that Cruz could count on his support because he "has a strong posture in foreign policy and an unvarnished view of the domestic economic disaster that Obama has been." He added: "The recent tragedy in Paris affirmed that we cannot have a Commander-in-Chief who will sleep through a terrorist attack." Another reason Woods supports Cruz is his "steadfast devotion to conservative principles." Steadfast devotion to conservative principles. Absolutely. That's why he's the candidate conservatives support.

In yet another post a Trump troll has no impulse control and reflexively posts irrelevant information on it. Pathetic. Sheesh.
Hey punk, you just demonstrated something that my esteemed fellow FReeper DoughtyOne has noted lately, that you so-called Cruz supporters are absolutely rabid about Trump, when in fact your own candidate refuses to trash Trump.
I in fact have supported Cruz since BEFORE Trump entered the race, and my posting history more than proves that.
So you take your case of premature exasperation and shove it where the sun don't shine. I'll comment as I please, just like you alleged Cruz supporters do in any Trump thread. Don't like it?
TFB pal.

As more people are exposed to Ted Cruz and what he represents, they like him. Go Ted! I agree completely. The press and GOP establishment has done it's best to paint him as a fringe candidate, but as people learn about his principles and how he's stood for them, they like what they see.

And yet 3 years ago ‘conservatives’ threw their vote and their integrity away to vote for a hard leftist over him. And lost both. Imagine my surprise that NOW that the damage is done, he’s ‘conservative’ enough and his name means something to you people.
To: Jack Hammer
Unlike other Hollywood âcelebsâ, James Woods has a fairly sound mind and plenty of good sense. Which, of course, is why he's conservative. And, supports Cruz. :)

Well if Virgil Goode had captured more of the electoral vote, he would be in the middle of campaigning for his second term. But as the saying goes, "if wishes were horses, beggars would ride", so what is done is done Norm, however it must really grate on you Defenders of the Conservative Faith(c) that Virgil Goode of all people has come out to endorse Donald Trump.
Maalox is on sale at your local pharmacy Norm, stock up.

Good for him. Joining other Hollywood men who like/endorse Cruz. It is a very good thing Conservatives have a voice in that tinsel town. James Woods has always been a favorite once seen in VideoDrome in the early 1980s. Welcome to the club, sir.

Virgil Goode, retired Congressman Hmmmmm..... need to do a poll. Who has heard of James Wood and who has heard of Virgil Goode. If you are going to do some name dropping, you gotta do better than that.

It’s not about name dropping, it’s about conservative credentials. Woods is a good guy, no question about that, however Virgil Goode IS the ‘conservative’s conservative’ and he had quite the following here on FR in the last election cycle, and Woods didn’t.
Thanks for playing. Johnny? Tell Catfish what lovely prizes we have for him...

Not that I’ve ever been accused of being a peacemaker, but I’d vote for either of them for entirely different reasons. Cruz because he’s a true constitutional conservative and Trump because he’s a capitalist and a real American who’s fed up with the direction we’ve taken under “Ears in Chief”.
As that famous American philosopher Rodney King once said, “Can’t we all just get along?”
Ding, ding! Come out swingin’...!
